Disclaimer.. We recommend that you only change the color for text effects that you already have, if you change more than that, there is a possibility that the effect that has been installed will be damaged when you change it.
Step 1: Open the Illustrator File
1. Open your Adobe Illustrator file that contains the text effect. The file can be an .AI file or an .EPS file.
Step 2: Select the Text with the Effect
A. Use the Selection Tool (V) to click on the text with the effect.
B. If the effect is grouped or part of a larger design, make sure to ungroup it (Object > Ungroup) to isolate the text if needed.
Step 3: Open the Appearance Panel
A. Go to Window > Appearance to open the Appearance panel.
B. This panel displays all the properties (strokes, fills, effects) applied to the selected object.
Step 4: Change the Color of Fills or Strokes
If your text effect includes a fill, you’ll see it listed in the Appearance panel.
A. Just click on the Fill option to change the color. A color picker will pop up, or you can choose a new color from the Swatches panel.
B. If your text effect has a stroke, you can change its color in the same way by clicking on the Stroke option in the Appearance panel and choosing a new color.
Step 5: Save and Export
Once you’re satisfied with the color changes, save your file and export it in your desired format.
